If you’ve been around for a while, you’ve undoubtedly heard me talk about Dead Belt.

This is by far my favorite Solo RPG where you play a Captain and all you have are your Ship, a load of debt, and hopefully enough O2 to get the job done. You could have spent your years toiling away in a mine or factory on some backwater planet, but that’s not the life for you. So you found someone to front you the creds, you bought a ship, and you’ve gone out to the belt to see what kind of salvage you scrounge up to keep your ship flying, your O2 tanks full, and the debt collectors off your back.

Every session is different, every score is different. You use a D6, and a deck of playing cards (the real cool cats use Firefly Playing cards, but any deck will do) to generate the map of the bucket you’re searching.

2 hours ago, the Dead Belt Kickstarter went live, and it’s currently 50% funded!

Scavenging the belt is a lonely job, but it doesn’t have to be! In the upcoming version of Dead Belt, there will be rules so you can play with a friend. You can work together, keeping each other alive as you search bird after bird looking for that big payday. Or you might be rivals, eager to get to the score first to keep the other from getting it.

So far, Dead Belt has only been publicly available in PDF form, but with their kickstarter, you can get a gorgeous physical copy of game books, and at higher tiers an incredible cover to hold your zines.
