Lanrick the dour, as he is sometimes called, is a gnomish explorer. Wanderlust some call it, you’ll rarely find Lanrick in the same town for longer than a week.

A cartographer by trade, Lanrick is constantly on the move, making new maps. Ink splotches stain his fingers and hands and when he has them, the sleeves of his shirt, though he usually rips the sleeves off to stop them from smudging his ink.

Lanrick is just as likely to sketch out a map of a small village on a scrap of spare parchment as he is a large city, a cavern, or a country. All things should be mapped!

When startled, Lanrick disappears without a trace. Though if you listen closely, you might hear the shuffle of parchment or the clink of ink bottles jostling as they are hurriedly packed away.

Never alone, Lanrick has a constant companion. Usually content to ride on top of lanricks pack as a small weasel, Lanricks companion can change its shape and sometimes takes the form of a kestrel.

Behind the scenes, Lanrick can be a great guide, or provider of maps. As a quest giver, Lanrick could hire the party to go rescue his backpack that got left behind when he was chased out of a cavern, dungeon, or castle.
